HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Its finally a new year. Out with the old, in with the new! What a long year 2009 was!  I cannot say that 2009 went out with a bang, it just fizzled out. The year 2009 had a great beginning or so one thought. We quickly realized that 2009 was going to be not what we had hoped it should be, but what we could not imagine it would be.  We celebrated New Year's Eve with our traditional dinner of Frogmore Stew, sweet bread, and of course wine!  For dessert, Chocolate Cheesecake. Another tradition is Hot Cheese Dip and tortilla chips, which was consumed by Fred while we watched the UT Vols play the VA Tech Hokies. Fred, my husband for years has repeated the following: "I would like to see UT play VA Tech cause theres nothing like an SEC team".  Well, he got the chance to see the two teams play each other last night.  For Fred the game was like  2009! I had to pinch myself to make sure i was not watching UVA play VA Tech! Anyway a good time was had by all. Until Morrow, Good Eve!
